Check Cashing Policies and Additional Information
- Limits:
- Personal Checks: $30
- Checks from Parents: $50
- Off-Campus Payroll: $100
- On-Campus Payroll: $500
- M. Orders/Traverlers Ck: $300
**No Two Party, Starter, Credit Card, or Mutual Fund Checks
- We Sell:
- Western Union Money Orders (can only be paid for in cash)
- Stamps
- Envelopes
- Fees:
- All Non S.A. Paychecks are subject to a 25-cent charge
- All Staff/Faculty checks are subject to a 50-cent charge
- All check returned for insufficient funds are subject to a $25 service charge, as well as additional charges if payment is not paid promptly. Any student who bounces a check may also lose check-cashing privileges.
- Checks from Parents:
- If your last name is different than that of your parents, or different than that of your legal guardian(s) and you expect to receive checks frm them throughout the semester, ACT NOW! get a "Parent Authorization Form" from the Check-Cashing Office. Have our Parents fill it out as soon as possible and have it notarized. Don't be stranded with a check you can't cash!
- Important:
- There is a limit of only one check cashing per day
- All checks must be made payable to Student Association
- We will not accept any checks made out to cash
- We will not accept any altered checks

- For any additional questions call the Check-Cashing Office at 312-2952. Check-Cashing hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm. Check Cashing will be closed on federal bank holidays
