We sincerely apologize for any offense that may have been caused by our actions on Sunday, April 6, 2008. Although this was not a BASIC sponsored event, members of BASIC were present. We realize that the pictures posted on the internet adversely affected out relationship with the Muslim Student Association but it was never our design or intent to initiate any animosity or any adversarial component between the two groups. No offense or disrespect was intended towards any individual, group, or faith. We seek to follow Jesus' words and example by showing respect and acceptance to all. This has been a learning experience for us and now we better understand the perceptions of the Muslim community. We specifically apologize to the Muslim community for our unintended but hurtful actions and, to the members of "Brothers and Sisters in Christ" (BASIC) for any embarrassment or trouble we may have caused to them.
